Bowery Missions programs for women started small and have now grown into The Bowery Mission Women's Center at Heartsease Home and Women's Center in Harlem, Manhattans only faith-based residential recovery program for homeless women.

    I would need a place to stay for an year max..I have to move out of as I am not happy with my husband but have no where to go. I have job but I don't earn enough to afford to live in an apartment right away. I don't have a car so I will be commuting by train and need safe place to stay for a while.

    Are there resources for woman who have experienced both physical and emotional domestic violence. I'm scared and if I leave, I will be homeless.
