House of Ruth Claremont

House of Ruth Claremont provides 24 hour domestic violence shelter and hotling.































































Also an outreach center.































































House of Ruths mission is two-fold:































































To advocate for and assist women and children victimized by domestic violence and children exposed to violence in transforming their lives by providing culturally competent shelter, programs, opportunities, and education; and































































To contribute to social change through intervention, education, prevention programs and community awareness.

VoiceHouse of Ruth has been providing life-saving domestic violence services for residents of eastern Los Angeles and western San Bernardino counties since 1977.































































Participation in House of Ruth programming is open to all battered women and children.































































Many of House of Ruths services are available in both Spanish and English and are free of charge.

    I am currently and have been a victim of domestic/caregiver abuse... I need help finding a place to live, I have a dog. I am a certified Peer Support specialist and a certified mental health first aid administrator through Mental Health USA.. I am currently not employed due to my injuries and weekly full schedule of Drs appointments. I have rheumatoid arthritis for 23 years and a full range of prior injuries due to current, past and, recent past domestic abuse/stalker injuries that have made my RA severely advance. I have been receiving SSI since 2014, I think. During Nov.2017 I re-educated myself, (from 1993 thru 2007 I was a full time hairdresser which I could no longer do due to rheumatoid arthritis), so that I could eventually reduce the amount of SSI needed and become gainfully employed as a peer support specialist and mental health first aid administrator, I had done this during the time that a stalker was repeatingly breaking into my home, holding me captive insulting me. This was happening from June 2017 until he was arrested on December 23rd 2017. I have somehow found myself and it abusive situation that I originally had thought was it safe place to live, current abuse has been going on since June 2018. I need help and I don't know where to turn.
