Most commonly, advocates help clients meet basic needs for food and clothing, obtain affordable housing, financial assistance, transportation, and any other services that will help clients achieve self-determined independence.
Legal AdvocacyLegal Advocates are available to assist clients with obtaining legal representation, accompany them to court hearings, and provide information on the legal process.
Many clients need assistance with divorce, child support, protective orders, and more.
CounselingProfessional individual crisis counseling is available to clients at no cost.
Support GroupsMany survivors find it helpful to talk with other survivors who have had similar experiences.
FCCBB offers support groups for survivors based on need.
Community EducationPresenters and group facilitators are available upon request to any organization, business, agency, or group who would like to learn more about the dynamics and effects of domestic violence and sexual assault on the community.
Presentation content and activities are all culturally and age-appropriate.
Outreach Servicesthey also provide outreach services to surrounding communities, including Balmorhea, Marathon, Fort Davis, Marfa, Sanderson, Valentine, Candelaria and Fort Stockton.
Advocates may meet clients in these communities to provide services as needed.
