Peace Place Inc

Peace Place is able to offer emergency shelter for up to 15 women and children escaping domestic violence situations.

If the shelter is full, or would not be a safe place for the individual/family, Peace Place may provide hotel accommodations as a safe alternative.

In addition, in partnering with AHIMSA House, Peace Place also provides a safe option for pets as survivors transition from abusive situations to safer, permanent housing.

While in shelter, the survivors will receive services such as Case management and empowerment sessions, Emergency financial assistance, Community referrals and advocacy and Safety planning.

Yes This shelter is caring and well run I cant praise them enough for the help they provide to especially battered women I am a former voulunteer there and would be interested in helping out there again.

Good morning, I have a few travel size items such as soap, shampoo, and hand sanitizer that I would like to drop off at the shelter. If the shelter is interested in the items let me know.

We are a women's group at our Lutheran church in Athens & would like to help the shelter by donations of items; Do you need any kitchen utensils or linens, etc.? If so we would be glad to help where you need it the most.

I have approximately 30 pieces of women's clothing (size medium) and 20 pieces of boys clothing (size Large/XLarge) that I would like to donate. Please let me know if you are in need. I don't want to give these items to a place that will make money off of it.
