Women's Shelters

Originally started by the Harbor Area YWCA, their mission is to end the cycle of family violence.































































Incorporated in 1983, they have been serving the community for 25 years.































































Their programs help women and children to survive and build healthy, safe, violence-free lives.































































They serve Los Angeles County with a Harbor Area/South Bay focus.































































Most of their clients have low/no incomes.































































They provide all services in Spanish and English.































































They work to improve the quality of life for victims, and to prevent children from repeating the violence they have witnessed.
