It is the mission of Safe Passage to reduce or prevent domestic violence and sexual assault in DeKalb County.































































They provide a wide range of services to victims of domestic and sexual violence including:































































crisis intervention and medical advocacy for victims of domestic and sexual violence short- and long-term housing for victims and their children counseling, legal advocacy children's services, community educationand a batterer's intervention program All staff at Safe Passage are composed of professionals and volunteers who work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their families, in a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere.































































Whether the abuse occurred yesterday or years ago, Safe Passage staff are here to help.































































Staff from rape crisis centers, such as Safe Passage, are the only professionals able to offer their clients absolute privilege regarding confidentiality.































































What does this mean? It means, unlike other mental health professionals, Safe Passage sexual assault staff, by law, are NOT required to disclose any confidential communications shared between client and staff in any civil or criminal proceeding without written consent from the victim.































































All services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault are free of charge.
