Sheffield Place

Sheffield Place opened its doors in February 1991 as a community response to the growing population of homeless mothers and their children in the Kansas City area.































































Since then, Sheffield Place has assisted more than 750 families in making the difficult journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.































































The results speak for themselves. Sixty-four percent of the program's graduates achieved success in 2013.































































Success is defined as achieving greater self-determination, increasing education and employment skills, obtaining and retaining permanent housing, and overcoming the impact of trauma.

    I'm 41 7 months pregnant with twins and have a 16 year old son I'm out of work due to high risk pregnancy and can't afford a place to stay. I need help with transitional housing until I can get back to work.

    I am need of place live for me and my son No other help or family in Missouri my family most out state they can't help me I am autistic mom and my son also autistic he has aspergers I'm in abusive environment mental verbal emotional abuse with him need assistance help us get out No other help please I left before I was young stay with boyfriend he abused me toomental verbal physical years ago I left him he not my son dad my son dad not abuse us not have help my son dad I Moved back with family member who with right nowagain because ended up getting sick and having tumor All stress went to hospital few years ago but God made me well I put down payment on my first apartment when Working lost my job and had move back with abuse family member she helped look after my son he was young I helped her in past but she controlling person try keep my son from learning and disrespect me in front my son causing him be Disrespectful me and her husband sticks up for her they older ppl but still not right I'm adult I want get my life back but in order do that need help get us out there

    I am a 25 year old first time mom. My mother passed last year and I was li iving with her and taking care of her. We have been living with different families members and now out of options. my little one is 8 months so looking for work without being able to afford childcare has been hard. I want to get on my feet but need help. Please email my sister as I do not have access to email.

    Me and my 1 year daughter just got out of abusive situation with her father and had to get into a different hotel room. And I'm pregnant with twins on the way and our hotel is up this Friday and we have nowhere else to go no mony we need some suggestions right now I don't get paid until the 31st from Social Security any advice would help right now

    I am 40. My youngest son is 12. I am RN. Out of work due to unexpected death of my father and then covid. This has left us temp jobless, homeless and carless after spending previous 5 yrs recovering from devastating domestic violence and abuse. We need a chnace to get back on feet.
