The Wesley Shelter is the domestic violence & sexual assault agency in Wilson County.
Since 1983, Wesley Shelter has been serving the Wilson community through its many programs.
What started as a small shelter for battered women has grown to include comprehensive services to all victims of domestic and sexual violence.
Services include Domestic and Sexual Violence Response, Services for Homeless Women and Children, The Edward Y.C. Thorne Safe House, 24 Hour Crisis Line, Womens Center, Childrens Programs, Hispanic Outreach Services, Counseling, Legal Services, The Clothes Line and more.
Around 1300 women, children and men are served each year with multiple service units.
Hello. Me and my kids need a place to stay. The place where we live, the person is getting evicted and we have nowhere to go. My son is 13. And my daughter is 16. We live in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Hello, I am trying to help this young lady who is currently pregnant and dealing with Domestic Violence from her boyfriend. She needs help getting a place and getting on her feet, to get away from him. Can this shelter help her in any way. I can do what I can to help but she's been through so much in her life and she's 18. Non of her family is able to help her.
