The Women's Center's mission is to provide free and confidential services to prevent or lessen the trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault, and other major life transitions.































































This center has services such as emergency shelter and support services, counseling and advocacy services and crisis intervention.































































The organization serves over 20,000 individuals from their area communities with free and confidential services that are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

    She is 23 year old, single living with her 84 year old grandmother here in Southbury. She has no money, no car and a 'job' 3 days a week. The atmosphere under grandma's roof has become verbally abusive due to lack of respect and appreciation for that roof. Grandma's emotional health is being tested to it's limits Can you help them?

    continued: the 23 year old girl's mother left her daughter and retuned to Jamaica (island) and her father's girlfriend will not accept the 23 year old and so the girl's father has to 'obey' his girlfirnd or get out of his girlfriend's apartment.

    Hello, I have a lot of women’s clothing that I’d like to donate. Most of the clothing is dressy and good for job interviews and such. There’s also casual clothing. Are you interested? If so where would I drop off the clothes.

    Could anyone recommend a shelter to me please? I have some clean beds and some warm clothes and shoes that no longer fit my daughters, they are well maintained, I would like to give them to someone who really needs them, I always leave those donation boxes near Walmart, but I would really like to donate, maybe someone that arrived and needed. Thank you

    What type of donations do you need? I have clothes, blankets and coats. I might have a suitcase or two, would those items be needed there? How many women & children do you shelter on average? Do you need shampoo, make-up, etc ? Do you feed the women & children there? If yes, do you need food? Is there a recreation room? Would you need a large screen TV, books, games or craft supplies for children? How long is a woman and children able to stay at the shelter? I’m sorry for all the questions, but I would like to put together a care package that includes everyone that takes shelter with you
