Women's Resource Center

Since 1975, The Women's Resource Center has been helping women live better lives.

Over the years they have redefined their goals to meet the changing needs of the community.

Their primary work is to help persons victimized by domestic and sexual violence.

The WRC Shelter for Battered Women, The Rape Crisis Center, and the crisis lines fill an urgent need because no other local group or organization provides these services.

Crime against women affects all of them and education is the first step towards prevention.

They believe that information will make people more sensitive to the needs of victims, more willing to take a hard look at the causes of these crimes, and better able to find ways to prevent them.

WRC acts as a clearinghouse for information on many issues of interest to women.

The phone calls they receive each day give them insight into the lives of the women in their community.

They hope to use this insight to expand their programs and services.

They are dedicated to the belief that women in their community deserve an organization that can offer practical solutions to their problems, celebrate their achievements and expand opportunities for the next generations.

Good Afternoon! I am a retired teacher with a closet full of nice clothes that I no longer need. Do you have need of women's clothing (mostly suits/jackets/blouses. Sizes are small 4-6)? If so I would love to hear from you to make arrangements to deliver them to you. Peggy C.

Recently moved to Norman from the Tulsa Area. I would make donations to the Domestic Violence Shelter in Claremore and/or the Women In Recovery Program in Tulsa. How can I make donations of clothing and household items to your organization? Thank you.
